Parent Child Development, a leader in Early Head Start and Head Start Childhood Education in West Point, VA is seeking a qualified candidate with early childhood experience birth - 5. for a lead teaching position at our King William Head Start located in Acquinton Elementary School.
This individual will plan and present age appropriate activities for children.
Responsibilities:
- Instruct preschool-aged children in activities designed to promote intellectual and creative growth
- Create a fun and safe learning environment
- Develop schedules and routines to ensure adequate physical activity, rest, instructional learning, and playtime
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with students and parents
- Communicate with parents on students’ growth and progress
- Maintain the health and safety of all students
This is a 10-month position.**
Qualifications:
- Associates or Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field**
- Previous experience in childcare, teaching, or other related fields
- Passionate about working with children
- Ability to build rapport with children
- Positive and patient demeanor
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must be fully vaccinated*
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $30,000.00 – $34,000.00 per year

- Early Childhood: 2 years (Preferred)
License/Certification:
