About
At Parent-Child Development Corporation (PCDC), our primary goal is to guide each child's social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development within a caring environment. We provide a variety of activities that foster growth in these essential areas, forming the foundation of our educational approach.
Recognizing that every child is unique, we implement an effective educational program tailored to meet the individual interests of each child. We believe that "play is a child's work," ensuring our activities are not only enjoyable but also serve as vital learning opportunities. At PCDC, we understand that children thrive when learning is integrated into play, allowing them to explore utilizing their curiosity and imagination in a stimulating environment.
Young children develop when actively involved in the learning process. To support this, we encourage engagement in various learning centers. This approach facilitates knowledge acquisition through play and enhances social interactions and problem-solving skills among peers.
Our program emphasizes a child-centered philosophy, with classrooms designed to cater to the child’s development. This ensures the learning environment is both age-appropriate and conducive to each child's growth.
Additionally, PCDC firmly believes that "parents are their child's most important educator." We invite you to actively participate in all aspects of your child's educational journey. By working together, we can help build a foundation for your child's future, giving them a head jump start on their path to learning and success.

Our Education
Emergent literacy instruction is seamlessly integrated into the daily learning experiences for all children in our program. We prioritize reading to children every day, as books and storytelling significantly enrich all areas of learning. Special projects, such as visits to the local library and dedicated story time during whole group sessions, further promote a love for reading. Additionally, our F.R.E.D. (Families Reading Everyday) initiative encourages family participation in nurturing literacy at home.
Throughout the school year, we also offer cultural enrichment experiences, including drama, art, creative movement, dance, and puppet shows, all designed to engage students and broaden their horizons. Field trips are carefully planned with consideration of students' interests and developmental needs, allowing for real-world learning experiences. Parents are informed in advance of any planned field trips and are warmly encouraged to participate, fostering a strong home-school connection.
Creative Curriculum
Creative Curriculum is an environmentally based program designed to inspire children through hands-on activities. This curriculum emphasizes project-based investigations, allowing children to engage deeply with their learning. The Creative Curriculum® not only aids teachers in fostering children's confidence, creativity, and critical thinking skills but also promotes positive outcomes in their development.
Daily activities are thoughtfully balanced to include a combination of indoor and outdoor experiences, individual and group interactions, as well as active and quiet playtime. Teachers utilize the Creative Curriculum to effectively organize the learning environment into various interest areas, ensuring that children have a rich and diverse educational experience.
Al’s Pals
The Al’s Pals program is designed to equip young children with essential skills to navigate life's challenges through a variety of interactive elements. Utilizing engaging puppets, original music, and impactful teaching methods, the program aims to empower children to learn crucial life skills.
Participants will be guided through lessons that focus on making healthy decisions, resolving conflicts, managing feelings, and building positive relationships. The use of original songs helps to reinforce key lessons and core concepts, while the incorporation of puppets and puppet scripts keeps preschool children engaged and excited about learning.
