Lead Teacher

Parent Child Development, a leader in Early Head Start and Head Start Childhood Education in West Point, VA is seeking qualified candidates with childcare experience birth – 12 years old for Lead teaching positions at three of our locations (Charles City, VA, Gloucester, VA, and West Point, VA).

Responsibilities: 

 Implement Early Childhood Development Plan
 Implement effective classroom management techniques that reflect the agencies adopted social and emotional intelligence program
 Maintain student portfolios
 Supervise children getting on and off the buses at school
 Conduct three Parent/Teacher conferences.
 Maintain well-organized and clean learning environment
 Facilitate and collaborate weekly planning sessions with the Assistant Teacher

Requirements: Associates degree or BA in Early Childhood Education, computer skills, communication skills and experience in Early Childhood. 

Job Type: Full-Time (10-month position)
