Parent Child Development Corporation is seeking a Human Resource Manager to become a part of team! The incumbent will be responsible for managing HR activities for the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement company culture, values and policies
  • Develop workforce strategies, to recruit and develop qualified candidates
  • Coordinate events focused on employee recognition and dedication
  • Advocate for employee retention and development
  • Oversee data entry and maintenance of employee records
  • Participate in the investigation and guidance for disciplinary actions
  • Align strategic business plan with company mission, vision, and goals
  • Ensure compliance with Head Start Performance Standards, VDOE Licensing Standards, and Virginia Federal and State laws
  • Stay abreast of all new trends in the HR field

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Management or related degree required or Master’s in Human Resources or related degree
  • Previous 3-5 years of experience in Human Resources or other related fields, preferably in the Non-Profit sector
  • Experience in conflict resolution
  • Fundamental knowledge of labor and employment laws
  • Ability to build rapport with all employees
  • Strong leadership qualities
  • Quick-learner and able to work/adopt in a growing and changing environment
  • Must be computer savvy and Microsoft proficient

This a full-time in person position with a salary of $45,000 – $55,000 annually.

  • Bachelor’s (Required)

Experience:

  • Microsoft Office: 4 years (Required)
  • Early Head Start or Head Start Program: 3 years (Preferred)
  • Human Resources: 3 years (Required)
  • Management and Supervision: 3 years (Required)

License/Certification:

  • PHR/SPHR (Preferred)
